Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

This week we practice moving past old traumas, old and current hurts, old and no longer relevant attitudes, past erroneous beliefs, past fearful limitations, past... (Well, you get the point.) And it seems we often have to go over a hurdle to get there... there are sometimes challenges whether physical, mental, or emotional... and sometimes all three combined.

And as anyone on Planet Earth is surely aware by now, changes are in the making and challenges are certainly present. We are having to let go of old ways of being and discover new ways... We have to go from an old way of living to a new way of being. We have to learn to distance physically while learning to get closer energetically and spiritually. It is a time to cross over to the other side... to a new way of living, loving, and participating in life on Earth. And oftentimes, that requires a process of "out with the old, and in with the new".

So to assist us in letting go of things that no longer serve us, we start off with Sarah Love who recommends "Being Gentle with Yourself and Others". We continue on our journey with Jeanne Ruland and Shantidevi who encourage us into a new attitude of "Seeing Our Parents and Our Relatives In A New Light". And Jude Bijou invites us to do some self-examination by asking "Are You Engaged In A "Not Enough" Struggle? Not Having, Not Doing, Not Being Enough?" Mary Mueller Shutan suggests we enter into a new phase with "An Overview of Kundalini Awakening: Moving Beyond Self-Interest".

We complete our featured articles this week with Suzanne Worthley taking us through the process of letting go in the "Loss of A Loved One, A Job, or Even A Belief: Strategies for Moving through the Grieving Process."

Then we of course have numerous additional articles which, all in their own way, also encourage to let go of old ways of seeing and thinking, and discovering new possibilities for our future and the future of humankind.

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

Being Gentle with Yourself and Others

Written by Sarah Love

Being Gentle with Yourself and Others
I know you're carrying a lot right now. In your life, in your mind, inside your emotional body, too. The load is heavy. I just want you to know, I feel you. Today, I want to send you some tender love. It won't solve everything, but it might lighten the load for just a moment or two.

An Overview of Kundalini Awakening: Moving Beyond Self-Interest

Written by Mary Mueller Shutan

An Overview of Kundalini Awakening: Moving Beyond Self-Interest
It is hard to describe to those wholly invested in the spiritual path that at a certain point the obsessive and all-encompassing nature of the path gives way to utter simplicity. We attend to the human form and realize how precious life is, how we are meant to connect.

Loss of A Loved One, A Job, or Even A Belief: Strategies for Moving through the Grieving Process

Written by Suzanne Worthley

Loss of A Loved One, A Job, or Even A Belief: Strategies for Moving through the Grieving Process
Grief is a natural reaction to loss and is something each of us will go through at some point in our lives, whether it is due to the loss of a loved one, a job, or even a belief. When something we love is taken away, grief is our natural, suffering-based response, which can affect not only our emotions, but also our physical and mental health.
