Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

Sometimes we may feel like our life is out of our control. However, even with the ups and downs and the challenges, we still are in charge of the direction we take and how we handle ourselves. This week, we bring you articles to assist you in the process of making your life one that is supportive of your true self and of living a life filled with purpose.

We start our featured articles with an article written by Christine Arylo, "Living A Whole Life Is A Choice You Make and A Stand You Take". While her article is geared to women, men will also find it provides them with useful information and insights. We then follow up with "Working in Harmony with Life-Force Energy" written by Suzanne Worthley.

As we all know, there are numerous side-roads (or side shows) and distractions in our daily life. Many of these are found in social media -- Sarah Love McCoy invites us to reflect and ask ourselves "Why Are We Here? How and Why We Use Social Media". Author Tur?ya encourages us to walk a higher path in "Do Not Confuse Liking and Loving: Love Overcomes Hate" and Robert Jennings (co-publisher of InnerSelf) invites us on a journey of discovery and practicality in "Why I Should Ignore COVID-19 and Why I Won't".

We round off this week's featured articles with "The Silver Lining: Reflecting on 2020's Challenges and Opportunities" written by Ora Nadrich. And of course, Pam Younghans, in this week's "Astrological Journal" has useful insights on the coming week and the energies that we will be working with and within.

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

Living A Whole Life Is A Choice You Make and A Stand You Take

Written by Christine Arylo

Living A Whole Life Is A Choice You Make and A Stand You Take
Choosing to live and create a whole life in this current overculture is a radical act, one that requires you to consciously, courageously, and consistently make choices that support the whole to thrive — including, at times, taking a fierce stand to longer accept anything less than a whole life.

Working in Harmony with Life-Force Energy

Written by Suzanne Worthley

Working in Harmony with Life-Force Energy
As humans, everything we do requires energy. We need energy each morning to open our eyes, get out of bed, and plan what we’ll do next. From our first month in the womb to our ending days, our bodies use this energy to keep life flowing. You can think of this energy like fuel and your body the vehicle.

Why Are We Here? How and Why We Use Social Media

Written by Sarah Love McCoy

Why Are We Here? How and Why We Use Social Media
Why are we here? Ha! I know it sounds like one of those belly button gazing type questions that gets us analyzing ourselves into a corner. But what I mean by "Why are we here?" specifically is looking at our use of social media.

Do Not Confuse Liking and Loving: Love Overcomes Hate

Written by Tur?ya

Do Not Confuse Liking and Loving: Love Overcomes Hate
In our society we have confused liking with loving. We are taught when we really, really like something, we say we love it. Which means if I don’t like something, then there’s no way I can love it. This use of language distorts and limits our view, trapping us in the fallacy of love being equated to pleasure.
