Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

While change is inevitable, it is also sorely needed.. and dreaded at the same time. However, change can go in two directions... growth or decay, and they both serve their purpose. Some things must decay in order for something else to be birthed, and then grow.

This week we focus on change that we can initiate within ourselves and thus within the world. We start with Vera Lopez who writes about "The Condor, The Eagle, and the Return of Divine Feminine Wisdom". She shares with us information about the 500 year cycle that is in its conclusion, the cycle of patriarchy. We are now progressing through the birth stages of the return of the feminine... the return of intuitive wisdom, of caring, of healing.

This feminine wisdom resides not just in females, but in all beings. It is the intuitive or right brain side of each and every one of us. Vera shares a quote from her teacher, Don Pedrito, who told her: "We must unite the wisdom of the mind with the wisdom of the heart.” He also explains that “This collective death and rebirth that we are in is the transition from the masculine to the feminine. These next five hundred years will be guided by the Divine Feminine wisdom and the Cosmic Mother will take over." Vera also reminds us that we are "on planet Earth to support the expansion and evolution of consciousness." We are all ambassadors of change.

Author Glen Park continues this exploration in "Attaining Balance Between Left and Right-Brain by Nourishing the Solar Plexus Chakra". She also writes about moving away from the era of patriarchy and moving into an era where the ego becomes the willing servant of Spirit. She speaks of the ego's role as "organizing the practical tasks of life to serve the calling of the higher centers of that person’s being." We are moving away from Achievement Consciousness where one must strive to succeed at any cost, and moving into Affiliative Consciousness where the prime mover is the desire to help others.

Our third featured article, by Serge Kahili King, focuses on "Changing Your Nightmares or Fearful Dreams Into Pleasant Experiences". Serge gives us very simple and practical methods to transform the leftover energy and trauma of a nightmare or a bad dream, even years later, in 5 minutes or less. Sometimes simpler is really better. In this case, the process he introduces is rather mind-blowing in its simplicity.

Another area of our life where we might feel the need to make changes is relationships. The next two featured articles focus on things we can change, either in our attitude or thoughts, to make our relationships better. Jude Bijou writes about "Making Peace With Our Relationship Status" and Alan Cohen offers thoughts on "How To Get from Cheesy Relationships to a Gourmet Banquet". Alan also shares a fun story about Frederic who travelled from Europe to the Americas on a cruise ship at the beginning of the 20th century.

And we wrap up our featured articles this week with Tina Gilbertson who shares about "Overcoming Fear in Communication: The Price of Positive Change".  She discusses the various communication fears and addresses the need to express ourselves in healthy ways instead of acting out in unhealthy and oftentimes damaging ways.

All of these articles help open doors for us to progress along our discovery of a new way of being, one where inner peace and outer harmony are the rule, rather than the exception. The vision of a better world that we all carry in our hearts is truly possible. Let it rise up and express itself. Have faith in yourself, and in others, that we can indeed make a world of Universal Love a reality by following the guidance of our heart and of our inner wisdom.

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week. Most of the featured articles also have an audio version and a video version, so you can either just listen to the article being read to you while you are driving, or walking, or even cleaning house (physically as well as metaphorically). The video is a visual experience of relaxation as well as inspiration. See each featured article for the link to both the audio version and the video version.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

I truly believe there are no accidents in life. There is only the magic and mystery of Spirit, and when we open ourselves up to this infinite energy and say “yes!” to our holy longings, Spirit moves in our life in ways that we could not even begin to imagine.
