Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

The new year is quickly approaching. The arrival of the new year can be a time of reflection, or re-evaluation of where we are, and where we are going. Many of us see this as an opportunity for a fresh start, whether in actions, attitudes, or aspirations. This week, we bring you articles to help you in the transition into 2021.

We start off this week's articles with a look at simplifying our lives with "Simplify to Support Your Peaceful Home ". For some of us, we may feel there is a conflict between living our life purpose and living an abundant life, however Prema Lee Gurreri assures us that "The Intersection of Prosperity and Life Purpose is Your Financial "Sweet Spot".

Amit Goswami reminds us that "Making changes requires purposefulness. We have to really wake up to the fact that we are not machines randomly responding to chance events in the world. We are actually a purposeful consciousness." in his article entitled: "Mythology Is the History of the Soul: Logos, Purposefulness, and Mythos ". Another shift in focus that is currently taking place is our "Moving from the Age of the Son to the Age of the Holy Spirit".

We round off the featured articles of the week, with a focus on opening our hearts as we create our New Year's resolutions in "How To Set Good New Year’s Resolutions For 2021 ".

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving new year.

Simplify to Support Your Peaceful Home

Written by Hunter Clarke-Fields MSAE

Simplify to Support Your Peaceful Home
Our commercial culture screams at us to go, go, go and buy, buy, buy as the way to happiness, but just as too many sweets will make us sick, too much stuff and a packed schedule leave us stressed, anxious, and unable to appreciate the abundance that we have.

The Intersection of Prosperity and Life Purpose is Your Financial "Sweet Spot"

Written by Prema Lee Gurreri

The Intersection of Prosperity and Life Purpose is Your Financial "Sweet Spot"
We all have a desire for wealth and prosperity. But there’s a deeper meaning to this desire than simply accumulating material goods or fattening our bank accounts. When properly aligned with our purpose, passion, and high-value gifts, our desire for wealth and prosperity is like a compass pointing us toward our greater purpose in the world.

Mythology Is the History of the Soul: Logos, Purposefulness, and Mythos

Mythology Is the History of the Soul: Logos, Purposefulness, and Mythos
Making changes requires purposefulness. We have to really wake up to the fact that we are not machines randomly responding to chance events in the world. We are actually a purposeful consciousness.

Moving from the Age of the Son to the Age of the Holy Spirit

Written by Richard Smoley

Moving from the Age of the Son to the Age of the Holy Spirit
People are interested in spiritual experience (if only at times of crisis or transition in their lives), and the clergy have not been trained to guide them through such experiences. All great religions, although their inner essence is esoteric and inevitably the province of the few, have to make some provision for the world at large.
