InnerSelf Newsletter: November 29, 2020

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

This week, we focus on seeing things differently... of looking from a different perspective, with an open mind and an open heart. We start our featured articles with Sarah Varcas' reflections on the energies accompanying this current lunar eclipse in "Standing on the Brink of Hope: November 30th, 2020 Lunar Eclipse".

Sarah writes in her article: "The energy of this lunar eclipse is flexible and changeable. It cannot be pinned down and how we each experience it will depend largely on what side of bed we emerge from that morning!" In other words, our perspective from either side of the bed (or of any type of duality) will affect our experience. Isn't that what life is all about? How we see things, or what attitude or beliefs we are seeing from, affect our experience and our interpretation of reality.

The next featured article also encourages us to have a different perspective or attitude, Peter Ruppert, author of a new book entitled Limitless (see the article for more info on the book) encourages us to "Fail Often: Resilience Wins In The End".

The next three featured articles deal with topics where we might tend to rigidity (possibly based in fear). The first one, "Big Dreams in the Time of the Pandemic" written by Robert Moss, takes a look at dreaming of death and of loved ones on the Other Side. Then Joanne DiMaggio delves deeper into the topic of death in "What Does It Feels Like To Die? (Death Is No Big Deal)". And a powerful article to help break through fixed perceptions and beliefs is an excerpt from Cate Montana's novel Apollo & Me: "What Is The Main Thing Keeping People Divided and Stuck?".

We conclude our featured articles with another astrological-leaning article which looks at the USA through the lens of the Wounded Healer: "Chiron and the Psychoastrology® of the United States of America". The author, Lisa Tahir:, states: "Chiron in Aries ushers in change—dramatic, visceral change—not for the faint of heart."

A much-needed change is for us to step away from the same old, same old beliefs, attitudes, and expectations, and be open to the newness and unpredictability of change. Experience teaches us that, though sometimes after a bumpy ride, change leads to a better future.

Gardeners know that decomposing food creates compost that then feeds plants to grow to health and abundance. And so it is with our current situation. Old decaying modalities and institutions and behaviors and attitudes are having light shed upon them, and the decay is visible to those who are willing to see. However, out of decay and death comes rebirth.

Perhaps we need to change our perspective on everything that ails us (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) and seek the rainbow and the light that follows the storm. It will serve us well to change our perspective from "poor me" (or "poor us") to "where do we go from here?".

Instead of focusing on what has, is, and could go wrong, let's look at what could go right, and how to make that happen. For an inspirational perspective on this see the July 2020 interview (on YouTube) with Ocean Robbins where he answers the question posed to him by the interviewer: "What could possibly go right?"

So this week, let's focus on what could go right, and find the ways to make that our reality... one heartbeat, one thought, one vision, one action at a time.

Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

Chiron and the Psychoastrology® of the United States of America

Written by Lisa Tahir

Chiron and the Psychoastrology® of the United States of America
Chiron as an astrological placement appears not only in the astrological birth chart of individual human beings, but also in the astrological birth chart of businesses, organizations, and countries. I thought it important to review the placement of Chiron in the birth chart of the United States to shed light on the psychoastrology that affects us as a country as we move into a post–COVID-19 world.
