Right now—before it is too late and before we lose our chance—the swirling turmoil in our world compels us to become the people who will tame and heal the darkness that threatens us.

Disaster and upheaval serve in part to purge and purify the old design. But more, they are cracking open our hearts. For, sometimes, when we experience our own suffering or the anguish of others, our hearts open wide to hold the pain and help as best as we can.

Yet when the present challenge or danger seems to have passed, instead of staying fully open and big-hearted, all too often our hearts close again and return to their “normal” size. We turn back to the details of our own lives—until the next event occurs to crack open our hearts again.

We Need to Keep Our Hearts Open

In today’s world, when one painful event seems to follow another at warp speed, the message for us is: we need to keep our hearts open all the time. With open hearts we can carve out the pathways that revive and renew us so that the new paradigms can emerge.

Have you ever watched a chick hatch itself from its egg?

That chick uses every bit of strength he possesses to peck a tiny hole in his shell. And he keeps pecking and moving and pecking some more—until he is completely free from his shell—no matter how long it takes or how exhausted he becomes in the process. The chick has no choice—he will die if he stays in his shell one moment longer. Pecking his way out of his shell is the first thing that chick ever does—and it is the hardest thing he will ever do—and during that exhausting process, he doesn’t know if he will survive it. But he clearly knows that if he stays where he is, he will definitely die.

It is pure Faith and clear knowing that keeps him pecking.

It is time, Dearest Humans, for you to crack open your hearts.

It is time for you to free your hearts from the hard shells that have kept them shielded and protected. It is the hardest, scariest thing you will ever do. It is the most exhausting endeavor of your lives
—and you wonder whether you will survive the process.

It is Faith that gives you the strength and courage to survive the cracking open of your hearts. You have been working on building Faith, on learning to cling to the Divine for a long time.

It is because Faith ... allows you to let go of your shells.”  -- Ellen Kaufman Dosick

When our hearts crack open, we become so very, very vulnerable. The armor in which we may have cloaked ourselves to protect our fragile small-self egos falls away, and we stand emotionally and spiritually naked.

As human beings, we are hard-wired to watch out for danger and always trying to protect ourselves from peril. But when we are on constant watch for danger, what we are really doing is inviting it in. In this coming new age, a time when the Light of God shines more and more brightly, if our hearts remain armored, we will “get cooked” inside that armor.

What if There Were No Limitations to Our Love?

What if we simply love? What if all the barriers come down and Divine Love just pours through us into every moment and every space? What if we let go and open our hearts so that love flows, and our world is filled with love and light, kindness, compassion and truth?

It would be the dawning of the new Eden on Earth!

The choice is ours. Will we remain small, or will we grow into our Divinity?

Every moment we choose to recognize the Presence of Divinity before us—in a person, a group, a plant, an animal, a crystal, a sound, an event, an unfolding in ourselves, and in our own reactions and responses—the love flows and the New Day becomes.

All We Have to Do Is Look

Excuse me,” said an ocean fish, “you are older than I, so can you tell me where to find this thing they call the ocean?”

The ocean,” said the other fish, “is the thing you are in now.”

Oh, this? But this is water. What J am seeking is the ocean,” said the disappointed fish as he swam away to search elsewhere.

“There isn’t anything to look for. All we have to do is look.” When we are aware enough, conscious enough, we can and will realize that God is manifesting in everyone and everything. And when we run into the Divine, our only possible response is Love. We fall into God’s Heart.

Breaking Through Our Heart’s Armor

What is the way into God’s Heart? We come to God through our own hearts—our hearts that need to be heart-to-heart with God.

That is why our hearts must be cracked open now. Those who are in the process of cracking open hearts right now know how exhilarating and terrifying, joyful, despairing, and hopeful it is—all at the same time. It is literally heartbreaking to break through our heart’s armor, and it is grievous and shattering to die to our small selves on a promise—on Faith that a greater Me will arise.

As we begin cracking open our hearts, as Love begins to flow through us we remember times when we’ve done this before, when we let ourSelves fall in love. So, thanks to the magic of social media, many are now reaching out to find old friends and lovers in order to recollect the sweetness and remember how we felt falling in love before. It is a bittersweet reminder of how we have had the daring courage to die to our small selves in order to be reborn a larger, greater Me.

Recognizing the Divinity All Around

As our hearts crack open, we recognize the Divinity all around, and we fall in Love. Then the vibration rises and more Light comes into our world.

And whenever there is more Light, the dark rises to the surface for healing and transformation. There will continue to be confusion and pain, yet this provides us the opportunity to practice recognizing, embracing, and expanding the Divinity inherent in each one; to love without limit.

The new Light fills in all the places and spaces, and opens us to see more and more of the Divine though Radical Loving and Awesome Holiness, the Oneness of All That Is.
