LAST QUARTER MOON: We are now winding down from eclipse season, with the waning Moon in the Last Quarter phase of its current cycle. This phase of the Moon brings with it instructions to review the experiences that we have engaged since the Solar Eclipse on October 14, and to sort through the revelations and insights we gained with assist from the Lunar Eclipse on October 28.

In these days before the next New Moon, which occurs in Scorpio on November 13, we benefit from going within and taking inventory. As we assess what is working and what is not, what we want to keep and what we are ready to release, we participate in a process of inner cleansing that allows us to begin the next lunar cycle with a clean slate.

MARS-URANUS OPPOSITION: The strongest influence we're working with this coming week is an excitable and unpredictable Mars-Uranus opposition. While the aspect isn't exact to the degree until next Saturday, November 11, we are likely already feeling its effects, which will build in strength over the next several days.

Mars, the planet of Personal Will, Action, and Desire, is currently in Scorpio, a sign of great emotional intensity. As the Red Planet approaches its opposition to radical Uranus, we can feel increasing restlessness and impatience and a powerful resistance to anything that seems to control or restrict us. Our energy may be very scattered, making it hard to focus.

The freedom-fighting urge is strong with Mars in aspect to Uranus. Plus, whenever Uranus is involved in an aspect, there can be an element of surprise in events that occur. Anger can erupt suddenly, and we may feel a strong impulse to take immediate action, without considering long-term impacts.

If we are able to temper the impulsiveness that tends to be triggered with Mars-Uranus aspects, and also are willing to be flexible when it comes to our expectations, we can tap into the positive potentials of this opposition. This aspect can inspire greater courage, help us break free from routines, and enable us to recognize and purge long-standing fears or resentments that have been controlling us from an unconscious level.

These benefits are more possible if we stay grounded, take our time when making decisions, and remember to breathe. Uranus often has effects similar to an electrical current or a lightning bolt. A strong connection to Earth and to Nature acts like a copper grounding rod, dissipating the static energy, protecting our neural pathways from overwhelm, and helping prevent a short-circuit.

Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important planetary aspects:
Venus trine Pluto: This aspect encourages honesty in personal relationships, and may inspire deep sharing on many levels. It provides an opportunity to build intimacy and trust as it reveals what has been held within until now.

Mercury quincunx Eris, Mercury trine Neptune: While we may feel an urgent need to discuss dissatisfaction or irritations, we also have the capacity for intuitive and compassionate communications today.
No major aspects are exact today.
Venus enters Libra: Venus will transit the sign of The Scales from November 8 to December 4. Over this four-week period, people tend to value harmony and collaboration in relationships and are less accepting of aggressive or rude behavior. Standards are very high, as is the need for greater justice and equality. However, we must also watch the Libran tendencies to say "yes" when we want to say "no" and to avoid facing issues directly because they will bring up discomfort.

Venus quincunx Saturn: With Venus in hard aspect to Saturn as soon as it enters Libra, we experience an immediate reality check regarding issues of codependency and self-sacrifice. There may be a fear of rejection if we truly express our needs, causing distance in relationships.

Mercury sextile Pluto: This aspect represents an opportunity to share deeper feelings, to reveal and understand what lies beneath the surface. It also may coincide with new information coming into our awareness.

Sun quincunx Chiron: Self-confidence could falter a bit with this aspect, or we may easily become angry or irritated. This is more likely the case if we are not in touch with our truth or have not shared it adequately.
Mercury enters Sagittarius: Mercury will be in the sign of The Archer for the rest of November. On December 1, it will enter Capricorn but go retrograde on December 13, and return to Sagittarius on December 23. After going direct on January 1, 2024, it finally exits Sagittarius on January 13. During these Mercury-in-Sag weeks, we are drawn to philosophize and to seek deeper meanings in our daily life experience. Thinking may be more optimistic or hopeful, and it is easier to believe and have faith in a positive outcome. However, we may not be great at attending to details, since we are more interested in the bigger picture. And, while Sagittarius generally has a good sense of humor, it is not necessarily tactful.
Mercury square Saturn, Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron: There may be delays or obstacles to overcome today in the areas of communication and travel. Careless words or thoughtless laughter may trigger hurt feelings.
Mars opposite Uranus: People can act very impulsively under this influence. The needs for independence and freedom are very strong. Arguments and confrontations may occur and there could be difficulties with technology or electrical devices.
No major aspects are exact today.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Your sense of personal identity, which likely has been in flux for the past couple of years, continues to shift in the year ahead. You may feel very passionate about a certain course of action and great courage is available to you. You also have an enhanced ability to align your actions with your spiritual ideals. However, it will be important to take your time with decision-making, since it could be tempting to act impulsively or reactively, perhaps due to a strong need to assert your independence. Also be aware of where you respond based on old wounds that are triggered, rather than being clear about the current reality.
