The focus for today is:

I practice slow and full breathing to help me relax.

Today's inspiration was written by Marie T. Russell:

Our breath allows energy to flow through us. When we are in fear or stressed-out, we tend to hold our breath. And thus life's flow is put on hold, or at least hindered, since we are not breathing fully.

In order to get to the other side of fear, we must focus on relaxing, and we can do that through the breath.

Whatever fear we are facing... of illness, job loss, relationship problems, etc... slow and relaxed breathing will get us to a mental and emotional state where we can receive intuitive guidance as to what we need to do in order to resolve the problem.

It's amazing how often we hold our breath. Not just when we're scared, but for me, also when I'm focused on something, or perhaps feeling stressed, or running late. But holding our breath is counterproductive. It does not help us deal with the situation. It actually prevents us from tuning in to what we need to do... and the first thing we need is to breathe slowly and deeply, and relax. 

Our focus for today: I practice slow and full breathing to help me relax.
