Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

Life has its ups and downs... this we all know. However, there is another aspect that we are not necessarily as familiar with as that is the concept of "as above, so below", or "as it is inside, so it is on the outside" (and vice versa). Our inner being and our outer world are a reflection of each other.

This week we take a look at some of the inside-outside connections. We start with looking at the need to make your bedroom a sanctuary where you can recharge from your "outside existence" in "How To Organize Your Bedroom Into An Oasis of Serenity and Simplicity". Another area where we focus on the inside to outside connection is in "Thinking Peace: How We Can Each Contribute To The Creation Of World Peace" as well as in "Your Pain Body and Your Joy Body: Which One Will You Feed?"

Scroll down below for the other articles featured in this week's edition of InnerSelf to discover many ways to re-create yourself and your world by dealing with the inner aspects of your being. And as usual we bring you numerous articles on a variety of topics ranging from dogs, climate change, artificial sweeteners, AI, relationships, and much more...

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week.

How To Organize Your Bedroom Into An Oasis of Serenity and Simplicity

Your bedroom should be a sanctuary of simplicity, offering an empty space for you to pour out the struggles of your day and recharge. This is your cozy space to nuzzle into when life is being a demanding shrew.

Thinking Peace: How We Can Each Contribute To The Creation Of World Peace

Written by Tim Ray

Thinking Peace: How We Can Each Contribute To The Creation Of World Peace

If we study the world’s metaphysical and spiritual teachings, whether they are from the East or the West, we see that one of the basic spiritual tenets or “natural laws” is that all events originate in thought. In other words, it is not possible for an event to take place in the outer world without there first being a thought. Thought is the causative factor.

Your Pain Body and Your Joy Body: Which One Will You Feed?

Written by Meg Beeler

Your Pain Body and Your Joy Body: Which One Will You Feed?

Almost everyone carries accumulations of old emotional pain, what Eckhart Tolle calls the “pain-body.” This pain-body feeds on what has happened in the past, and feeds on negative thinking and drama in relationships. Your joy-body stores family, ancestral, and collective joy. It feeds on positive, transporting experience.

A Hawai'ian Formula To Free Yourself and Install A New Life

Written by Ulrich E. Duprée

Following A Hawai'ian Formula and Installing A New Life

Being happy is an attitude to life that is less determined by outside circumstances and more by inner qualities. A person’s character and mind is stable when their inner family is in harmony. As a metaphysician would put it: ‘It’s the same on the inside as the outside.’

Be This, Not That! Archetypes As Tools for Transformation

Written by Marie D. Jones

The Power of Archetypes: How to Use Universal Symbols to Understand Your Behavior and Reprogram Your Subconscious by Marie D. Jones

To not have inner harmony and balance is to walk through the world without a sense of being centered, grounded, and at peace. We don’t feel authentic at all, but rather experience a sort of mental “vertigo” that pulls us in one direction, even when we wish to go in another. As we look closer and closer at what archetypes operate in our lives, we often see these imbalances and begin to realize how they have been making things much harder for us.
