InnerSelf Newsletter: January 29th, 2017

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

You may be familiar with the often-quoted reference to "being in the world but not of the world". Obviously, we are in the world: we live here, we work here, we play here. But we don't have to be of the world... we don't have to agree with the status quo, we don't have to go along just to get along. We can march to the beat of our own heart and sing our own true song -- a song of togetherness and of love for the other inhabitants of this planet of ours. A song of unity in our diversity, a song of respect for ourselves and for others.

The "Editor's Choice" articles this week resonate with the message of taking action in togetherness. My article (Are You Watching From the Sidelines?) emphasizes the need for us to participate in our life and in the world around us. The new articles this week encourage us with messages such as: RX to Move from the Past...Finding The Tribe That Celebrates Your SpecialnessFive Socializing Tips for Introverts;  Discover and Inspire...Give and You Shall Receive... Resisting...

The numerous additional articles offer varying perspectives on life, health, climate, aging, as well as the possibilities and future for the social and political situation on the planet...

We invite you to find your own niche of participation, the one where you feel joy and a feeling of satisfaction at being alive and doing your part, where you discover your role and play it to your heart's content... and to the benefit of the world around you.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week.

The "Living in Harmony" section includes articles on Health & Well-Being, Home & Garden, Pets, Leisure & Creativity, Finance & Careers, and Science and Technology.

The "Personal Development" area covers Attitude Adjustments (which includes Fear, Anger, Gratitude, Forgiveness), Relationships & Parenting, Spirituality & Mindfulness (including Meditation), Intuition & Awareness (including astrology), and Happiness & Success.

"Social & Political" covers topics that affect us personally yet deal with a more "societal" or "political" sphere. This area covers Environment & Climate, Democracy, Justice, Inequality, Economy, and more. These topics are very relevant for our communal journey on Planet Earth.
