InnerSelf Newsletter: January 8th, 2017

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

As we progress into the 2nd week of 2017, we all continue to revise our vision for this new year. This revision is ongoing, whether we do it consciously or not, since plans change, needs shift, and perceptions are altered by inside and outside revelations. This week we take a look at life through the lens of two steps forward and one step back.

This is seen in many ways... in our social and political environment (see Hope Springs Eternal As Progressives Show The Way Forward) as well as in our daily life (2017: A Year of Fierce Love Born of Awe-Full Grace). Even in our own behavior, we may make progress one day and regress to a previous attitude or level the next day (Which Of The Five Levels of Awareness Are You Accessing?).

Yet through it all we continue "keepin' on" and creating our life and our world, day by day. Of course there are numerous tools and attitudes that can help us make the path a smoother and more inspired one. Many people have benefited from creating a vision board and Jayne Morris, in Creating a Vision Board and Creating Your Future, gives us a method of making that happen. These other articles will help set your feet on that smooth path: This Common Suggestion Is The Worst Advice Ever! (by yours truly) and How You Can Rewrite the Script of Your Life by Master Charles Cannon.

And of course, Nobody Has All The Answers You Seek. While this may at first sound like bad news, it is actually wonderful news because we ourselves have all our answers. We simply need to tune in and listen (and perhaps reread This Common Suggestion Is The Worst Advice Ever! for inspiration). ?

And of course we have numerous additional articles on health, new technologies, climate change, social reforms, and much more.

This Common Suggestion Is The Worst Advice Ever!

The worst advice one can ever give, or receive, is "don't talk to yourself". Yes, I know! We're all told to stop talking to ourselves, but is that good advice? It definitely is not!

Nobody Has All The Answers You Seek

Written by Susan Sosbe.

Nobody Has All The Answers

However many books are written about our spirituality, we have to come to terms with the fact that nobody has all the answers. Discovering our own spiritual truth is a lonely road and yet one that is largely dependent on others we meet on the way.

Which Of The Five Levels of Awareness Are You Accessing?

Written by Cara Bradley.

Which Of The Five Levels of Awareness Are You Accessing? How you experience this moment is very much like looking through a camera lens. You can look at the world in panorama or zoom in for a close-up. The lens can be focused, showing sharp lines, or unfocused, so that shapes are foggy and blurry.

How You Can Rewrite the Script of Your Life

Written by Master Charles Cannon.

How We Can Rewrite the Script of Our Lives

Our lives are a series of “moments” that flow together. We tend to extract one frame here, another one there, and fabricate stories about them. Stories breed with each other. One triggers another.
