InnerSelf's Daily Inspiration

June 7-8-9, 2024

The focus for today, and the weekend, is:

I release my need for perfection in anyone or anything, including myself.

Today's inspiration was written by Sue Frederick:

Love the entire story of your imperfect life, especially the grotesque mistakes and ugly self-doubts. Release your need for perfection in anyone or anything, yourself most of all. Love the thorns along with the rose.

Become the person who embraces the thorns and the gifts in everyone, including yourself. Know that one can’t exist without the other. Doing this will heal you. And it will save the life of everyone you meet.

Love your pain and fear, embrace your darkness. It will lead you to your gifts, your courage, and your divinity. It will open your heart.

Today's inspiration was adapted from the InnerSelf.com article:
Are You A Perfectionist? The Imperfection of Seeking Perfection
     Written by Sue Frederick.

This is Marie T. Russell, co-publisher of InnerSelf.com, wishing you a day of accepting what is (today and every day)

Comment from Marie:
Perfection is an unattainable goal. Things are constantly changing, so how can any one moment be perfect... unless they all are perfect. And so it is. Every moment, our moments of joy or of sadness, our moments of success or of failure are all perfect. They are what is in this moment, and that is perfect... and will lead us to the next perfect moment and the next... all unique in their perfection and their potential.

Our focus for today, and the weekend: I release my need for perfection in anyone or anything, including myself.
