Hello Love,

WE are the hope. We are the love. We are the magic.

These words are on repeat in my mind lately. Because of the potency of the times we're living in I try to remind myself that WE can generate the things we wish to see in the world.

We are powerful even when it feels like we're running on empty and the obstacles we face are too large to overcome...

In order to fuel up for the next stage of this journey, we need to ground ourselves, nourish ourselves, fortify ourselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally, too. Because the truth is we don't know exactly the future holds.

We DO know that together in community we can navigate the road ahead. With support and tools we are better equipped to create the world we want to see.

We need not journey this path alone.

Why Are We Here?

Why are we here? Ha! I know it sounds like one of those belly button gazing type questions that gets us analyzing ourselves into a corner. But what I mean by "Why are we here?" specifically is looking at our use of social media. Ooooh so fun, right?

Well, this question has been arising more and more as I've watched my consumption go up in the last few months. I'm asking myself what my purpose is and how am I showing up right now in relationship to this technology. It's a potent time in the journey of humanity. It's a time of great potential for change and healing.

AND we've got these amazing tools, literally at our finger tips. BUT what is the purpose?

Now, if you've deleted your accounts or more impressively never opened one, this email may be rather pointless. BUT if you're like me and you're spending more time than you'd like to admit scrolling, hang with me for a minute. I've got some questions for you.

How are you using it? What is it for? What need are you trying to fulfill by being 'connected' in this way. How do you feel before, during and after you've scrolled through your feed?

A Life Worth Living

In these times of great change it's important to examine our habits, our inner workings, our tools and our tactics to make sure we are in fact being the change we want to see in the world.

Because we are the first peoples EVER to have access to each other AND unfathomable amounts of information in this way, we have power and privilege. Our words, our sharing, our re-posts and our interactions have ripple effects and direct effects that we can hardly comprehend.

We entered this technological space at light speed with no frame of reference. We've adapted our whole lives - completely rewiring almost every single aspect of life as we know it - in hardly more than a decade.

How and Why We Use Social Media

I invite you to inquire within about HOW and WHY you're there. What your use of "free" platforms gives you and how it harms you. Is it time to redefine or gain clarity on what's working and what's not?

What are you seeking? What are you creating?

We have countless opportunities to use these platforms to forward connection, liberation, healing, learning, growing, listening, activating, community building, justice making, organizing, laughing and crying, singing and dancing, celebrating and loving... the possibilities are literally endless!!!

Creating the World We Wish To See

How can you show up and embody the values that you want to create and foster?

I'm asking myself these questions, too. I'm coming up with my own answers and what works for me...

I did a Facebook live broadcast to explore "why am I here". If you want to check that out for some of my findings go HERE.

My wish is that we use these spaces and every precious moment of our lives to be intentionally creating the world we want to see.

What would your wish be?
