Marie T. Russell's Daily Inspiration

The focus for today is:  I use journal writing to get in touch with my self.

People who talk to themselves are often considered crazy. Many of us have been told, or have heard said, that one shouldn't talk to oneself. However, we actually talk to ourselves all the time, but oftentimes unconsciously. We call ourselves names because we did something "stupid" or alternatively, we may be mentally calling other people names for the same reason.

But talking to ourselves can be a wonderful way to get in touch with our inner guidance and our inner self. One way to start getting clarity with that inner voice is to start using a journal and write about whatever comes to your mind.

Open up a dialogue with your self and write it out in a journal. This will help you get in touch with your true self, and also will help you see whatever other chatter has been taking place perhaps even without you having been consciously aware of it.

Today's Focus was inspired by the InnerSelf.com article:
