InnerSelf Newsletter: January 27th, 2019

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

Everything is always in a state of change. Even if something looks like it is not changing, it is. And the same goes with our own self... Our thoughts change, our attitudes change, our bodies change, and the world around us changes as well.

This week we look at various aspects of transformation (change) starting with learning "Self Care and Nurturing Practices for the New Year (and Beyond)". A practice that will assist us in our journey is "Meditation: Surpassing the Rational, Logical Mind". If at times you're inclined to delve into the "dark side" by thinking "what's the use", you may gain strength and confidence in knowing about "Morphic Resonance: One Person Does Make A Difference" as well as "A Mind-Boggling Discovery: The Mystics Were Right".

We may think that change is difficult and hard to attain. However, we are reminded of "The Truth About Change: Relaxing and Allowing Life To “Do Me, Through Me”". And perhaps a key to making change flow in our body is what we eat: "Fermented Foods: The Missing Ingredient to Amazing Health" may help our body be healthier and more vibrant and ready to fully participate in the world around us.

And of course, we have numerous additional articles on a variety of topics. Scroll down below for the links to all of the week's new articles.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week.

Self Care and Nurturing Practices for the New Year (and Beyond)

If you’re like me, you might be finding that you need a bit of a breather this month. It’s important to take time to rest, to let everything settle in, shake out, and shake down, and allow the inner and outer transformations that we have all experienced to take root deeply within our bodies, our psyches, and our souls.

Meditation: Surpassing the Rational, Logical Mind

Written by Dena Merriam

Meditation: Surpassing the Rational, Logical Mind

I began meditating at the young age of 20, when meditation was not common in the United States, and I took very much to heart my guru’s instructions to develop a regular and committed meditation practice. Over the years I found an intuitive faculty developing, a way of knowing that surpasses the rational, logical mind.

Morphic Resonance: One Person Does Make A Difference

Written by Charles Eisenstein

Morphic Resonance: One Person Does Make A Difference

The principle I am invoking here is called “morphic resonance,” a term coined by the biologist Rupert Sheldrake. It holds as a basic property of nature that forms and patterns are contagious: that once something happens somewhere, it induces the same thing to happen elsewhere.

A Mind-Boggling Discovery: The Mystics Were Right

We live in exciting times because Science—more specifically quantum physics—is proving what the Mystics and Metaphysicians throughout history have long proclaimed. We are bundles of information and energy, living in a swirling sea of infinite energy. We are in truth, Creatures of Light, as the Mystics long have described us.

The Truth About Change: Relaxing and Allowing Life To “Do Me, Through Me”

The Truth About Change: Relaxing and Allowing Life To “Do Me, Through Me”

After many years of “helpfully” trying to change other people in order to create a better world that will work for everyone, it at last became clear to me that the only behaviors, thoughts, and feelings I truly have any power to change are my own.
