The following is quoted from the book "Prosperity Guaranteed" by Grace Terry:
Someone said, "You can never get enough of what you don't want."
What I think this means is this: What we really want is to feel loved, to feel valuable, and to feel a sense of meaning and purpose in our lives.
If we are expecting material things to make us feel good, to make us feel lovable, to make us feel important, we can never get enough. It just doesn't work.
