The week of September 21–27, 2026 brings one of the year's most significant cosmic reset points, as the Libra Equinox arrives Tuesday and the Aries Full Moon peaks on Saturday. An inspiring air Grand Trine between the Sun, Uranus, and Pluto encourages us to embrace new ideas and step into greater personal empowerment, while a challenging opposition to Neptune reminds us to surrender to the unknown with faith. Mars moves from its urgent final degree of Cancer into fiery Leo on Sunday, signaling a major shift in how we pursue our desires and express our will. With emotions running high and transformative energies building all week, this is a powerful time for releasing what no longer serves us and opening to new possibilities.

This Week's Astrological Overview:

  • The Libra Equinox activates a Grand Trine — sparking intuition, openness, and empowerment for the months ahead.
  • The Aries Full Moon heightens emotions and signals significant transitions.
  • Mars urges us to complete unfinished business.
  • A Sun-Neptune opposition woven through the week calls us to hold faith when reality falls short of our ideals.
  • A Sun-Pluto trine supports our capacity to step boldly into the future.
  • Mars enters Leo launching a dynamic two-month period of creative inspiration, confident pursuit of desires, and a stronger need to be seen and appreciated.
  • Jupiter-Mercury-Pallas Athena aspects open the week with inspired insights and a capacity for faith
  • Wednesday's Mercury-Uranus tension scatters our thoughts and challenges us to see things from fresh perspectives.

LIBRA EQUINOX: The quarterly change of seasons provides us with one of our only reliable and tangible markers as we make our yearly journey through time and space. With the Libra Equinox occurring this Tuesday, we once again are at a reset point.

In the chart drawn for the Equinox, which shows the core themes we'll be working with throughout the next three months, the Libra Sun forms an inspirational and excitable air Grand Trine with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. This configuration supports us in honoring our intuitive knowing, being open to new ideas and identities, and stepping into a more empowered version of ourselves. However, Sol is also opposite disillusioning Neptune, so we are reminded to have faith when life gets uncertain, to surrender to the flow, and to release our fears to a higher aspect of our beings.

ARIES FULL MOON: The current lunar cycle reaches its peak at 9:48 a.m. PDT on Saturday, September 26, when the Moon at 03°37' Aries opposes the Sun at the same degree of Libra. Emotions are especially heightened with this Full Moon, due to ruling planet Mars being in sensitive, subjective, protective Cancer.

Mars is also in the final degree of the sign, which is known as the "anarectic" degree or the "degree of fate." When this degree is activated, we can feel a sense of urgency to complete unfinished business or to let go of what no longer serves us. With ruler Mars at the anaretic degree of Cancer and also trine the Full Moon, this lunation represents a time of significant transitions, ultimately opening the door to new possibilities.

In keeping with this theme of major change, Saturday's lunation will activate another step in the Great Unraveling, with the Moon within one degree of Neptune and also widely conjunct Saturn. And, with Luna at the midpoint between high-vibrational Uranus and transformational Pluto, this Full Moon has the potential to bring insights and awareness that propel us forward on our evolutionary course.

DAILY ASPECTS THIS WEEK (September 21 to 27, 2026):

Monday

Jupiter trine Pallas Athena, Mercury opposite Pallas Athena, Mercury sextile Jupiter: These aspects support inspired insights, an ability to see the higher meanings of our life experience, and our capacity to have faith during challenging or worrisome times.

Tuesday

Sun quincunx Chiron: Insecurities or a lack of confidence could be troublesome today. These feelings remind us of the need to embrace our fearful inner self with love, acceptance, and understanding.

Jupiter sesquiquadrate Neptune: It may be hard to know who or what to believe with this aspect. Our need for certainty is frustrated by the depth of the unknowns at this time. Some may cling to old beliefs or blindly follow someone in a leadership role in an attempt to find stability.

Sun enters Libra (Equinox): The Sun enters Libra at 5:04 p.m. PDT today, marking the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of spring in lands south of the equator.

Wednesday

Mercury sesquiquadrate Uranus: Nervous energy is heightened today, and our thoughts could be a bit scattered. We are challenged to open our minds to new, unfamiliar ideas and to look at a situation—perhaps a relationship—from a different perspective.

Thursday

No major aspects are exact today.

Friday

Sun opposite Neptune, Sun trine Pluto: We are already feeling the impact of tomorrow's Full Moon as the Sun forms these two aspects, both of which are included in the chart for the lunation. The Sun-Neptune opposition represents the potential for uncertainty and disillusionment, based on a reality that does not live up to an ideal or a vision we had entertained. However, the Sun-Pluto trine supports our stepping into the future with a renewed sense of personal empowerment.

Saturday

Full Moon: The current lunar cycle peaks at 9:48 a.m. PDT today, when the Moon at 03°37' Aries opposes the Sun at the same degree of Libra.

Sun semisquare Jupiter: Be careful of overdoing at this time or of saying "yes" to something when your gut is telling you "no."

Mercury opposite Eris: Disagreements and frustrations may arise today, calling us to be more conscious of our words and our communication style.

Sunday

Mars square Chiron: People may be irritable or defensive today, to the extent that they lack self-belief and true self-confidence.

Mars enters Leo: Mars begins its eventful transit of Leo today. During this two-month period (September 27 to November 25), we tend to be creatively inspired and to confidently pursue the fulfillment of our desires. There is a heightened willingness to take risks and a stronger need to be seen and appreciated. Anger may be expressed very dramatically, and be triggered by feeling disrespected or unappreciated. Due to going retrograde in the new year, Mars will again be in Leo from February 21 to May 14, 2027.

If Your Birthday Is This Week (September 21 to 27, 2026):

Your potentials for growth and change are supported and magnified this year. You may find yourself feeling restless with old forms, while at the same time greatly inspired or passionate about a new course of action or a certain cause that is dear to your heart. The main cautions are to take your time, to be reasonable about how much you can take on, and to make sure your decisions are grounded in reality, since it can be tempting to blindly follow a dream. (Solar Return Sun semisquare Jupiter, trine Uranus, opposite Neptune, trine Pluto, trine Sedna)
