California Salsa
Ingredients
-
2 cups peeled and chopped tomatoes
-
1 celery stalk, cut up
-
1 onion, cut up
-
1 green bell pepper, cut up
-
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
-
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
-
1 tablespoon sugar
-
1 green chile pepper, seeded, if desired,
and chopped
Method
- In a food processor, combine all the ingredients
and process until well blended.
- If a finer
texture is desired, pass the ingredients through a
food mill using a fine blade.
- Transfer to a bowl,
cover tightly and chill overnight before serving.
Makes about 2 cups.
