InnerSelf's Daily Inspiration

February 10, 2025

This is Marie T. Russell, publisher of InnerSelf.com wishing you a day of true friendship (today and every day). We've all been subject to peer pressure and some of us have let others dictate our behavior in order to be "liked", popular, accepted, etc. Yet, the only person who must "approve" of you is YOU. If you change who you are to please others, you are hurting yourself the most.

The focus for today is:

I seek to find people who see and appreciate me for who I am.

Today's message is inspired by an article by Beth McDaniel, InnerSelf.com:

In a world that often pushes us to be more outgoing, more social, more like everyone else, perhaps the real goal is simply to find those who understand us as we are.

You are enough, and take that first brave step—because someone, somewhere, is waiting to be your friend.
