InnerSelf's Daily Inspiration
July 3, 2024
The focus for today is:
I interrupt anxious thoughts and replace them
with a reassuring and calming statement.
Today's inspiration was written by Jude Bijou:
Stop letting your mind run wild. The constant thoughts and chatter running through your head exacerbate your feelings of anxiety and pressure.
Interrupt those thoughts and replace them with a reassuring and calming statement.
Some examples: "Everything is all right. One thing at a time. I'll handle the future in the future. Be here now."

Today's inspiration was adapted from the InnerSelf.com article:
Feeling Stressed? Call for These 8 StressBusters
Written by Jude Bijou.

This is Marie T. Russell, co-publisher of InnerSelf.com, wishing you a day of inner peace (today and every day)
Comment from Marie: Our mind with its nonstop thoughts and chatter has been compared to a chattering monkey, thus called the monkey mind. Yet our mind is ours to control, to direct, to guide. To do so, we must first start listening to whatever chatter our mind is going on and on about inside our head. Turn off the external sounds, the distractions, so that you can "hear yourself think". Then set out to do a mental housecleaning and only keep those thoughts that are beneficial.
Our focus for today: I interrupt anxious thoughts and replace them with a reassuring and calming statement.
