The focus for today is:  I am respectful of my own needs and desires.

Shakespeare declared, "Self-loving is not so vile a sin, as self-neglecting." 

When we speak of self-love, we are not talking about a adoration type of energy. Rather we are talking about self-respect, honoring one's desires and needs, and being true to our own self.

Self-love is not about putting oneself above anyone else, but it is also not about sacrificing our happiness to try to "make" someone else happy... We can "do for others" if our actions are coming from love. Doing things for others out of love is honoring our own self at the same time as honoring theirs. But doing for others out of martyrdom or resentful obligation, is not respectful of them or of ourselves. It's important to be respectful of our own needs and desires.
