One of the basic questions that we need to ask ourselves is Who am I? or maybe who am I, really. In many cases, we may not be who we show to the world.
Clearly less than 10% of the population has already moved to the darkside. And another 20-25% quietly support them and 20-25% openly oppose them. That leaves roughly 30-40% who don't participate.
We've always had the power to make our own choices, but we were often not aware of that choice and that power.
It's an ongoing process... making choices, choosing a direction, deciding on the next step to take. That's the plus (and sometimes the minus) side of free will. We have choices to make.
At times we may have thought that the mind was one thing and our soul or spirit was separate from it, and that we have no control over any of it. However, we are a "package deal".
We are always in relationship... with ourselves, our mind-body and soul, with the people around us, the animals in our lives, the plants, the earth -- in other words, with anything and everything.
One thing we can be sure about is that, in life, there is always a new path we can take... and perhaps that path is very different than the one we've been on, or that we've even ever considered taking...
One thing we have control over is our attitude. No one can impose that upon us. We choose our attitude, albeit sometimes unconsciously.
