If you can remember when you learned to drive a car you will recall how difficult it was to focus on everything at once. There was the steering, the looking in the rear view mirror, the gas pedal, the brake, the turn signals, etc. Gradually, it all became familiar and then automatic, until you were able to just enjoy driving. That’s called unconscious competency.
A natural expression of who you are is to learn, to grow, to expand your self awareness and your perspective. Eventually, you will come to realize your Divinity, to know who you truly are as the divine reality creator. By your nature, you are That – the Divine in action.
The conversations usually play out something like this: “something something and she is going to save the world” or “something something, so now he is going out to save the world.” The phrase “save the world” makes me want to scream.
Notice how much time you devote to worrying about a problem vs. how much time you devote to developing a vision for the solution. I’m referring to your inner dialogue, the thoughts that stream constantly in that conversation you have with yourself.
Why is it that the typical American feels stressed and increasingly unhealthy? Why has public discourse grown so toxic that some are suggesting violence as the solution to our current political problems?

Although propaganda is as ancient as civilization itself, it has taken on a new force with the ubiquitous power of modern technology. This enhanced form of reality manipulation is used to influence us regarding the most trivial to the most momentous situations, and these persuasive techniques have far-reaching effects on the human condition.
The longevity and genius of shamanism is that, in part, it is not hidebound to methodology. As such, shamanism is always metamorphosing as it evolves in response to the current, always-changing circumstances of the world (like the weather!).

If we study the world’s metaphysical and spiritual teachings, whether they are from the East or the West, we see that one of the basic spiritual tenets or “natural laws” is that all events originate in thought. In other words, it is not possible for an event to take place in the outer world without there first being a thought. Thought is the causative factor.
