Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your Inner Self.
The month of August draws to a close, and September is upon us. Fall is the time of harvest, and we also are "harvesting" the consequences of our choices and our actions. The "waves" we have created will be returning to the shores of our consciousness (and our lives) to be addressed.
Alan Cohen asks us: What Motivates Your Choice of the World You Prefer? while Joyce Vissell reminds us that Remembering To Say Thank You Is More Important Than You Think. Richard Bach reflects on Education and Dr. Bernie Siegel encourages us to pick up A Box of Crayons. All this and more is part of the greater picture of our "harvest".

The reasons for our choices prevail at a level below our conscious mind. Every living thing does what it believes will bring it the greatest reward. The rub, in human terms, is that quite often the reward we perceive is not in our best interest.

You might think that people know you are grateful, so you don’t have to share it. But remember that expressing your gratitude is a special gift for you as well. I feel very far from perfect in remembering to say thank you, and yet it has become something that is very important to me...

A stagnant nation, despairing over the death of education . . . by the Great Cat, why? Have we not learned that school kills? The nation ought to be raving joyful for the death of its failed system of diplomas and degrees, raving delighted at the greening of this grand new culture, the Passionate Self-Educated.

The universal language of creation is symbols and images. Dreams and drawings can reveal psychic and somatic information about our past, present, and future. I was a nonbeliever until I did some drawings for Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and was amazed at what they revealed about my life.

Energy and its flow is being unconsciously experienced by everyone, all of the time. We are all surrounded and impacted by the action and movement of energy twenty-four hours a day. When the hair raises a bit on your arms upon entering a room, you are experiencing the residual electromagnetic energy of an event that occurred there, or of a person who was once in that place.

It is also highly beneficial to reread the past week's astrological journal as it gives a hindsight view of the events that took place and may provide many "ah-ha" insights.
The "Living in Harmony" section includes articles on Health & Well-Being, Home & Garden, Pets, Leisure & Creativity, Finance & Careers, and Science and Technology.
The "Personal Development" area covers Attitude Adjustments (which includes Fear, Anger, Gratitude, Forgiveness), Relationships & Parenting, Spirituality & Mindfulness (including Meditation), Intuition & Awareness (including astrology), and Happiness & Success.
"Social & Political" covers topics that affect us personally yet deal with a more "societal" or "political" sphere. This area covers Environment & Climate, Democracy, Justice, Inequality, Economy, and more. These topics are very relevant for our communal journey on Planet Earth.
