Marie T. Russell's Daily Inspiration

The focus for today is:   I set aside some time to experience silence.

Are you uncomfortable with silence, needing to have music or TV, or some other form of sound in the background? How often do you actually welcome an experience of silence?

There are times for sound and there are times for silence. Unfortunately, many of us do not have enough silent time. Everywhere we go, there is background music... whether at the store, at work, on hold on the phone, even in elevators... However, it's only in silence that we can hear ourselves think, that we can get to know ourselves and our dreams and our visions for our lives.

Only in silence can we connect with our inner guidance and our true self. So in the morning, rather than quickly turning on some kind of sound, just listen to the sounds that are there naturally... inner and outer sounds. You may discover that the Universe has been communicating with you all along, but the volume on all the other stuff was blocking you from hearing it.
