Marie T. Russell's Daily Inspiration

The focus for today is:  By being true to myself, I change the world for the better.

Unfortunately, most of us have grown up trying to please "others". That started with parents, siblings, teachers, an employer, friends, boy/girl-friend, and the "other" in our committed relationships. The thing that is glaringly absent in that scenario is pleasing our own self, or being true to our own self.

We've all heard stories, or perhaps even lived them, of people who picked a career because someone else wanted them to, or picked a job, a relationship, a place to live because someone else thought it was a good idea. But again, in all of this, we have lost ourselves. Our true self, our true light, our true genius resides in being true to where our heart is guiding us. And when we do this, we discover, that what our heart wants for us, also works for the people around us.

We are all part of a huge puzzle. So if your puzzle piece (that's you) is out of sync, then none of the other pieces work right either. So being true to our puzzle piece helps create a harmonious and pleasing result for all.
