The Day Of Reckoning Has Come For The GOP

liberty in mask 7 12The Republican party is no longer a pro-America political party. It is an illegitimate pseudo-political party full of radicals and reactionaries whose stated goal is to disrupt, destabilize, and cause to self-destruct the legitimate elected government of the United States. While this may sound a bit harsh, the facts are the facts.

What started out as a fake grassroots movement funded by the Koch Brothers in 2010, The Tea Party has morphed into the party of Donald Trump full of many sycophants, con men, and cowards. Many are a sordid bunch of low-lifes incapable of turning a good deed to others. Gone are the members who would stand up for America as that shining democratic beacon on the hill and an example to follow for freedom-loving people the world over. In their place a pack of pariahs and fallen angels have taken up residence.

What started as a desire to cut taxes on business and the wealthy and to deregulate commerce through nefarious and anti-democratic means has become an oligarchy devoid of concern for anyone but themselves.

It is time for the Republican party to join the  trash heap of failed political parties who have lost their way so a new and real conservative party can emerge.

Chris Hayes: GOP Is Becoming A Pro-Virus Party Before Our Eyes | All In | MSNBC

Chris Hayes on GOP: “This party is intellectually bankrupt, and entirely unable to meet the moment. It is so corroded ... that it will revolt against one of its own members when they do something right to fight the plague to save lives. It’s becoming a pro-COVID party before our eyes.” Aired on 7/10/2020.

When The Truth Is So Terrible It Hurts, Take Action

Marie T. Russell, InnerSelf.com
Amidst all the horrors taking place these days, I am inspired by the rays of hope that shine through. Ordinary people standing up for what is right (and against what is wrong). Baseball players, white and black, both teams, walking off the field in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. And today, I came across the… Continue

When Your Back Is Against The Wall

Women Arise: Be Seen, Be Heard, and Take Action

Marie T. Russell, InnerSelf
I called this article "Women Arise: Be Seen, Be Heard, and Take Action", and while I am referring to the women highlighted in the videos below, I am also speaking of each of us. And not just of those of us in female bodies, but to all the "rising feminine" in all of us, male or female. Continue

A Song Can Uplift the Heart and Soul

Marie T. Russell, InnerSelf
I have several ways that I use to clear the darkness from my mind when I find it has crept in. One is gardening, or spending time in nature. The other is silence. Another way is reading. And one that lets my spirit soar is music and dancing. Continue

Why Donald Trump Could Be History's Biggest Loser

Robert Jennings, InnerSelf.com
Updated July 2, 20020 - This whole coronavirus pandemic is costing a fortune, maybe 2 or 3 or 4 fortunes, all of unknown size. Oh yeah, and, hundreds of thousands, maybe a million, of people will die prematurely as a direct or indirect result. How much is that worth? It didn't have to be this way. Continue
