Monitoring Health In Real Time

Smart Thermometers Helping Track Coronavirus Symptoms | All In | MSNBC

Chris Hayes discusses a few hopeful signs amid the coronavirus pandemic. Aired on 3/25/20.

Seems to me this process is very important going forward. Coupled with other devices we are now able to distantly monitor people's health in real time. I have one such device in the drawer not in use due to privacy concerns. Same with my 3 Alexa devices.

I recently ordered a clean air monitor on Amazon. I returned it because it required me to hook to the internet and would not work otherwise. I studied their fine print and basically they could do anything they wanted with my data which included even down to the environment of my bedroom.

Governments need to step forward to insure privacy, security and freedom from abuse with appropriate legislation. The idea of a smart house is a good one but governments failure to act retards these improvements.

1984 need not become a reality. Surely we have evolved beyond our ape friends and can handle this.

The reason I share "what works for me" is that it may work for you as well. If not exactly the way I do it, since we are all unique, some variance of the attitude or method may very well be something that will work for you. Continue

The theme of the newsletter this week can be summed up as "you can do it" or more specifically "we can do it!". This is another way of saying "you/we have the power to make a change". The image of the arrows hitting the center mark reminds us that we too can aim for a goal and attain it, however "impossible" or grandiose it may… Continue

We see life through the lenses of our perception. Stephen R. Covey wrote: “We see the world, not as it is, but as we are──or, as we are conditioned to see it.” So this week, we take a look at some different ways of seeing life and events in our life. Continue

When The Truth Is So Terrible It Hurts, Take Action

Amidst all the horrors taking place these days, I am inspired by the rays of hope that shine through. Ordinary people standing up for what is right (and against what is wrong). Baseball players, white and black, both teams, walking off the field in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. And today, I came across the… Continue
