(May 30, 2020) As I watch the news on the events in Philadephia and other cities in the USA, my heart aches for what is transpiring, and it aches for what has transpired for centuries... However, I know that what is taking place now is part of the greater change that is taking place... the transformation from the old system to a new system... a letting go of old ways of being and thinking and living... to a new way where we see the oneness in everyone and live in harmony.

Just as the human body goes through a healing crisis when striving to go from illness to health, so the body of humanity is going through a healing crisis. This is the time that we need to have solidarity with other human beings and aim for a resolution of equality, fairness, justice, and love for all. The transition from sickness to health, whether in a human body or in humanity, is not always smooth and gentle.

With that in mind, I share this song with you:

"It’s been a long, a long time coming, but I know, oh-oo-oh, A change gon’ come, oh yes, it will."

“A Change Is Gonna Come” is one of the most-recognizable songs in American music history. For instance, it was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry in 2007. Rolling Stone also ranked it as high as number 12 on the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”. Moreover, it was a track that was heavily associated with the Civil Rights Movement. It was even featured in a pivotal scene of Spike Lee’s 1992 “Malcolm X” film." www.songmeaningsandfacts.com
