  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 tsp. chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp. Kelp Granules Sea Seasoning

  • 8 in. dried kelp torn (or cut) into bite size pieces

  • 1 1/3 cup black eyed peas, parboiled with enough water to cover

  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes

Method

1. Sauté onion in heavy skillet with spices.

2. Stir in tomatoes, kelp, and peas.

3. Cover and simmer 30-45 minutes, until peas are tender.

Serves 4.
