Counseling

Counseling has broadened its scope to include more than traditional psychotherapy, but also such diverse modalities as stress management, rebirthing, astrological counseling, coaching, psychic counseling, tarot readings, hypnotherapy, nutritional counseling, and more.

All of these offer various ways to help you gain clarity in your own life about your relationships with yourself and with others. Some forms of counseling deal only with the present moment, or the present year, while other forms delve into not only your past and your childhood, but in future and previous lifetimes as well.

Whichever form appeals to you, whichever type you are drawn to, will probably be the best for you... at this moment. Just as we have many facets to our lives and even to our personalities, the counseling professions offer many ways to deal with challenges and conflicts in our life. One form of counseling may be appropriate for one particular challenge, while another will be perfect for another situation.

The key is to be willing to trust your “inner knowing” that guides you to one particular modality or therapist. Calling a therapist to get information about the work that they do is a way to “tune in” to which person will be a “good match” for you. While one practitioner may be “perfect” for your friend, another might be the “ideal” one for you to work with. Remember that it is your life, your path, and that you must be the one that decides which road to travel.

If you want more information, do not hesitate to call the practitioner in question. They often have literature they can send you, or may be able to answer your questions on the telephone.
