* THIS ISSUE'S ARTICLES *
Eating Out & On-the-Go
by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.
One
way to ensure that you'll enjoy a variety of delicious vegetarian meals is
by eating out, but many new vegetarians feel unsure about what to order.
With my busy workshop schedule, I travel nearly every weekend. I've learned
how to maintain my vegetarian lifestyle, no matter what type of restaurant
I'm in.
Conflicts in Friendship
by Dr. Brenda Davies.
Friends
encourage and support each other in difficult times and generally make a
positive impact on each other's lives. However, they're also willing to
confront and constructively . So let's take a look at how you can deal with
conflict and with saying those things that your friend might not want to
hear.
Abandonment Mask Removed
by John Randolph Price.
A
consciousness of abandonment may begin in early childhood with the death or
divorce of a parent, the father taking a job in another town and seldom
seeing the child, or perhaps feeling lost in a large family of brothers and
sisters and not receiving enough attention. Other factors to consider are
lack of affection from parents resulting in a high degree of childhood
insecurity...
Lost Something? Horary Astrology
by Alphee Lavoie.
There
has always been a lot of controversy among astrologers as to what time (and
even location) to take for erecting a horary chart but I feel that it is
really quite simple. I have just a few rules to follow that will make it
easy and accurate for you to take the proper time of the question...

THIS ISSUE'S
COLUMNS:
BOOK REVIEW:
The Journey: Road Map to the Soul
by Brandon Bays.
The
cover states that it is "A Practical Guide to Healing Your Life and Setting
Yourself Free". Brandon Bays' story on its own is an "eye-opener". The old
saying "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" could be the theme song
for her story.
FROM
THE HEART:
The Sequel's
Not Equal
by Alan Cohen.
The
thing about sequels is that they rarely measure up to the original. Like
movies, there are two ways to live a life: hiding out in history, or dancing
on the cutting edge. History is safe, but reeks of regularity. The cutting
edge seems scary, but it bestows life...
HOROSCOPE (weekly):
by Eliza Bassett.
This
week's Horoscope

and the
previous
week's horoscope
RECIPE:
Eggplant Rolls
These taste fine cold, or you can box up the eggplant rolls and put the hot
tomato sauce in a thermos.
REFLECTIONS:
Acceptance, Then What?
by Marie T. Russell.
One
of the teachings that is emphasized by many teachers is that of acceptance.
Accepting what is. What exactly does that mean? Does it mean accepting the
way things are? Well, yes it does. It is an impartial observation: I see how
this is, I acknowledge that this is so. Yet, does it mean that nothing can
change?
TRANSFORMATIONS:
A
Sow's Ear and a Silk Purse
by bobby jennings.
Life
is a series of crossroads and when "wrong" choices are made at these
crossroads, at best we open ourselves to criticism and to doubts about our
integrity. At worst, these choices remain to haunt us and they reappear time
and again.

DEAR
CHILD
|
|
Dear Child,
Much must be done for you to
reach your full potential. You must be willing to change some of your ways
and in some ways you will see it as sacrifice but it is not. It
simply is asking for your highest good that will ultimately serve you the
best. In addition, you must realize that you are in control of your
destiny. We are here to guide you but not lead you. Do not be confused by
this. It is necessary for you to understand -- this is your life experience
and not ours. We love you and want the best for you but we can not and will
not force you to do what is best for you.
Time has come for you to make
some choices. You realize that these choices affect the future outcome
to a degree. Life's lessons can be done or learned the easier way or the
harder way. Life is a series of ever expanding choices like streams to the
ocean. Many choices can be made of which branch to take but they all end up
eventually at the ocean. Is your trip rough or does it flow smoothly?
You need to choose your
lifestyle. How you eat. How you connect spiritually. How you act around
others...are you authentic. How you treat others. How you treat yourself.
You must realize that each small change ripples out and effects everything
else. The time is here to be very conscious of every move you make for the
ripples will be quick. Others can not do these thing for you...only you
can. Know that nothing is wrong but there are easier and harder ways to
experience life. Take care of yourself. Take time for yourself. Know that
all can and should be well in your life if you will let it.
All is well, Child of God.

INSPIRATIONAL
MESSAGE

Baking A Cake
A
little boy is telling his Grandma how "everything" is going wrong. School,
family problems, severe health problems, etc..
Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like
a snack, which, of course, he does.
"Here, have some cooking oil."
"Yuck" says the boy.
"How about a couple raw eggs? "
"Gross, Grandma!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Grandma, those are all yucky!"
To which Grandma replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves.
But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully
delicious cake! God works the same way.
Many times we wonder why he
would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that
when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We
just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something
wonderful!"
