Please be patient with us in this process. If you come across links that don't work or that go to the wrong place, or you'd like to give us your feedback on the changes, we'd appreciate you letting us know.

THIS WEEK'S NEW ISSUE OF INNERSELF MAGAZINE:

* THIS ISSUE'S ARTICLES *

Getting Out of Our Way
by Chandra Alexander.

Sometimes, things just go our way. We call it luck or attribute it to simply having a good day, but in truth, we have been given a glimpse of the actual nature of the universe, a divine experience of synchronicity.

Making New Connections
by Brenda Crawford-Clark.

167 million men and women in the United States are on a diet at any given moment. If that many people are trying a solution and it doesn't work, something's wrong with the so-called solution...

Active Imagination--The Oracle Within
by Robin Robertson.
Carl Jung developed a technique he called active imagination that allows anyone to consult an oracle within themselves. When we learn active imagination we are able to take some degree of control over our own growth process.

Soul Mates & Soul Families
by John L. Payne.

Your journeys here into the physical world are deliberate. Before such journeys are undertaken, souls organize themselves into groups. You could see these as support groups. The ultimate goal is to experience unconditional love.

Listening to Ourselves
by Rebecca Z. Sharif, M.A. CCC.

If we could listen to ourselves as we converse, we would probably be astounded at how often we speak mindlessly. We, quite innocently perhaps, make insensitive comments, speak inaccurately, or talk too much, hardly aware of the effect of those actions.

Dear Child

THIS ISSUE'S REVIEW:
Every Saint Has a Past,
Every Sinner a Future
by Terry Cole-Whittaker.

Unlike some books that pack a powerful punch in the first few chapters, then fizzle in the end, this book carries you to the mid-point, then propels you through the final page.

THIS ISSUE'S COLUMNS:

ASTRO INNER TALK:
Unaspected Planets
by Karen Hamaker-Zondag.

Aspects form a vital component of the interpretation of the natal chart. It does, however, happen that one or more planets do not receive or make any major aspects, so they can exhibit extremes in their effects.

COSMIC COMEDY:
Ask The Swami
by Swami Beyondananda.

The swami answers questions in his own humorous way dealing with his Oklahoman East Indian accent, same sex marriage, and speaks about the eight day of Creation.

HEALTH & YOU:
Creating Strong Immunity
by Len Saputo, MD and
Nancy Faass, MSW, MPH.

Everything you do -- everything you touch, breathe, eat, and think affects your immunity. How you live your life is the most powerful resource known for preserving and restoring your immunity and provide the foundation for a strong immune response.

HOLISTIC POLITICS:
The Power of Partnership
by Riane Eisler.

There are two models for relationships: partnership and domination. These two underlying models mold all our relationships -- from relationships between parents and children and between women and men to the relations between governments and citizens and between us and nature.

HOROSCOPE (weekly):
by Eliza Bassett.
This week's Horoscope
June 6th - June 12th, 2002.

and the previous week's horoscope

RECIPE:
Tofu Hummus

Adaptation of a dish from the Mideast which is delicious eaten on its own, served as a dip for raw veggies, or spread on bread or crackers.

REFLECTIONS:
Even One Is Enough
by Marie T. Russell.

We live in a world of extremes. Extreme wealth, poverty. Extreme hedonism and joy, and fear and pain. Extreme religious devotion, and hatred. What we see in the world "out there", if we look closely, we can find within our own selves.

SEX TALK:
Sex After Sixty
by Tom Paugh.

If you don't believe that there is sex after sixty, even seventy and eighty, just read the medical books. Unfortunately, these books were written by people in their thirties and forties fantasizing about their own futures.

SPIRITWISE:
Bridging East & West
by Diane Morgan.

Most Western traditions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, see the absolute as transcendent, beyond, and other. Most Eastern traditions, on the other hand, envision it as immanent, within, and ultimately identical with the seeker.

TRANSFORMATIONS:
Connecting Dots
by bobby jennings.

The national discussion is getting a bit out of hand. Let's see. Republicans and the Bush administration are mostly tight-lipped. The loyal opposition return to their wimpishness at the slightest snarl of the attack dogs. So that leaves the national debate between the News Media and the American public...

DEAR CHILD

Dear Child,

Now as never before we are in the midst of a universal change. There is chaos everywhere -- just listen to your nightly news. With this chaos there is immediate need for a change in thinking. Since the beginning of time man has used weapons to conquer. Weapons now will only lead to mass destruction and the loss of a beautiful planet and all its beautiful people. Since weapons have not worked to bring about peace and harmony, a new approach needs to happen. All weapons must be laid down from mighty weapons to rocks and stones.

This must become the cry of every single peace loving person on the planet. Loudly and clearly this message of LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS must be heard everywhere by everyone. By laying down all weapons, one is free to think more clearly and free to help resolve the issues at hand.

There are people who do not want peace because it removes them of their power and control. These people must be recognized for exactly what they are -- cold-blooded murderers. Do not let your spouses, children, and friends follow them. It is not about their being "right" but rather in control. Lies are told and believed. This is not exclusive to any "cause".

It is time to make a difference. Make signs. Shout from the roof tops. March. E-Mail. Lead groups. Say prayers. It is time. It is time to make that difference. It is time to lay down all weapons now before it is too late. Don't stand by waiting for someone else to make the first move. Take a stand now. Only when weapons are laid down, can there be the beginning of peace for all.

All is well, Child of God.

INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE

Life Is A Theater

Life is a Theater... Invite your audience carefully. Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a Distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not going anywhere relationships or friendships.

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention. Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?

When you leave certain people do you feel better or do you feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know or appreciate you?

The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you....the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

Remember that the people we hang with will have an impact on both our lives and our income. And so we must be careful to choose the people we hang out with, as well as the information with which we feed our minds.

We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor feed them with negative thoughts.

Who's in your front row?
