Antidote to Suffering
by Arjuna Nick Ardagh.
When
you look at a painting, whether the "Mona Lisa," the "Birth of Venus" or
anything you find beautiful, where is the beauty coming from? Where is the
source of the beauty? It is obviously not coming out of the painting, or
everyone would agree that one painting is beautiful and another is ugly.
Obviously, the beauty must be projected from somewhere else onto the
painting.
From Questions to Insights
by Lynda Dahl.
Years
ago I was struck by what I recognized as a similar thread woven through many
of my friends' psyches. The thread reflected an underlying sadness that life
hadn't worked out the way they'd hoped, that there was so much they had to
offer that never found the right time or circumstances, that life wore them
down more than boosted them up.
Eating Raw Foods for A New You
by Joe Alexander.
There
are dozens and hundreds and thousands of diets, diet books and diet experts
in the world today. For one reason or another, many people have decided to
adopt some restrictions. The greatest value of the raw food diet is its
transformative value.

THIS ISSUE'S
COLUMNS:
BOOK REVIEW:
Emissary of Love
by James F. Twyman.
While
this book reads like a novel, it is the extraordinary experiences of James
Twyman and his discovering the existence of the Children of Oz -- psychic
children who have in common a question that they want to ask each and every
one of us. The telling of the story is entertaining, amazing, and inspiring.
The question, life -changing.

What if I told you you could do nothing all day and become fabulously

SPIRITWISE:
God's Will Is Love
by Karen Anne Bentley.
We
may think that doing God's Will is contrary to our individual will. We might
think He wants us to do something that we don't really want to do or
wouldn't like doing. Maybe He wills us to change everything in our life as
we know it and become selfless like a Mother Teresa. Or even worse, we could
be afraid of God's Will.

DEAR
CHILD
|
|
Dear Child,
Healthy choices
need to be made now. It is important to get plenty of fresh air and
exercise, to eat healthy foods, to take time to get quiet daily, and to get
enough sleep.
Your body needs
to be loved and cared for. Without it where would you be? It is very easy to
just take it for granted but in doing so you do it a dis-service.
How you treat
your body is reflected back in how the world treats you. Observe this fact.
Time and time again, you will see this to be true.
Treat your body
with respect and love for the truly amazing thing that it is. Respect it. Be
aware of it and its needs. Do not keep pushing it as if it were a piece of
machinery. It is not but rather a living, breathing thing that is doing it's
best to take care of you, no matter how you treat it. Appreciate it. Treat
it well. It is your temple.
All is well, Child of God.

INSPIRATIONAL
MESSAGE
|
|
The Two Brothers
Once upon a time two brothers
who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious
rift in 40 years of farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading
labor and goods as needed without a hitch.
Then the long collaboration fell
apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major
difference, and finally it exploded into an exchange of bitter words
followed by weeks of silence.
One morning there was a knock on
John's door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter's toolbox. "I'm
looking for a few days work" he said. "Perhaps you would have a few small
jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?"
"Yes," said the older brother.
"I do have a job for you. Look across the creek at that farm. That's my
neighbor, in fact, it's my younger brother. Last week there was a meadow
between us and he took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a
creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I'll do him
one better. See that pile of lumber by the barn? I want you to build me a
fence, an 8-foot fence, so I won't need to see his place or his face
anymore."
The carpenter said, "I think I
understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and
I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."
The older brother had to go to
town, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off
for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing,
nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just
finished his job.
The farmer's eyes opened wide,
his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge, a bridge
stretching from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work,
handrails and all, and the neighbor his younger brother, was coming across,
his hand outstretched.
"You are quite a fellow to build
this bridge after all I've said and done."
The two brothers stood at each
end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other's
hand. They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox on his shoulder.
"No, wait! Stay a few days. I've got a lot of other projects for you," said
the older brother.
"I'd love to stay on," the
carpenter said, "but, I have many more bridges to build."
