Aloha kakou - Greetings to all!

The astrological year begins with the Spring Equinox, when the Sun moves into Aries. The Aries New Moon is the first new moon of this ?year? at 8:13am Hawai?ian time (2:13pm Eastern). 

Every new moon, you have the opportunity to begin a new cycle in your life. As the sun moves through the different elements of the signs, each new moon will have a greater impact in one of these areas in your life: spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional. A few days before, it is the time for you to think of what you?d like to manifest in your life over the next 28 days. Some of you probably do this process instinctually.

This New Moon is in Fire, which is a Spiritual moon. This is a time for all of us to inspire ourselves to our highest ideals, allowing our creativity to be released with energy. A time for holding faith and being enterprising are other strengths of a Fire Moon. Cautions are not to be too impulsive, rash, or assertive. You may say prayers, meditate or just be quiet and think of the things you?d like to create for this month ahead.

Let?s review how this new moon (April 4th, 2000) applies to each sign of the zodiac and how each one can use this energy for their highest and best good.

Aries - Your annual opportunity to call forth your true self, all your talents, abilities, and joys, and ask for them to come forward in loving expression. Remember to ask for protection for your head and face, and to boost your physical constitution through this month (and for good measure, toss in your whole year, as it is *your* moon). 

Taurus - This is the moon which impacts your subconscious mind. You can work with resolving old deeply embedded issues. Those obsessive thoughts, actions, or desires that you?d really like to let go of. This New Moon is the time to ask for assistance from the Divine Source/Creator/Deity to gently release all your bodies -- emotional, mental, physical and spiritual -- from these old patterns.

Gemini - This cycle highlights your friends, professional organizations, and non-family groups. Whatever you?d like to create as experiences with these people is possible. If you are a small business owner, it is a great moon for you to emphasize the details of the finances of the company.

Cancer - At this time, you can focus on your work and your reputation. It is a great time for you to create a new relationship with your supervisor, and move more into your own authority in business. Set or reaffirm your career goals at this time.

Leo - This is the moon to create where you want to travel to during the next year. Perhaps seek a deeper connection through your spiritual life and philosophies. If you are feeling stuck in old routines, this moon can help you expand your viewpoints so that change may occur.

Virgo - This Aries New Moon centers your attention on your long time friends and relationships. If you are single, your need for an life partner to share intimacies is illuminated, and therefore the energies of desire may be released. If you are at all intuitive, this cycle shows your needs for psychic self-defenses.

Libra - Just like Aries, this is also ?your? moon, as this influences your own house. Relationships, marriages, as well as open enemies and controversies, are all highlighted at this New Moon. If you have a law suit pending, plant the seeds at this time for ?right resolution?. You can work with healing these body parts -- groin, bladder, kidneys, small of back -- which are the Libra?s body areas.

Scorpio - The focus of this new moon is on your body?s health. If you need to rebuild yourself after much prolonged tension and overwork, this is the time to ask for help. As a supervisor, you can ask for help with managing your employees. Finally, if there is a need to re-structure your daily work life, this is the moon to enlist it to assist you in creating that.

Sagittarius - Flame on in your love life, Centaur. Create what you?d like to have in your passionate relationships. This is also the place of play, fun, entertainment, and recreation, so consider where you want to go for your vacations and weekend getaways. If you are considering buying or selling property, this is the moon time to help those events along.

Capricorn - This is the moon to help you arrange your home more to your liking. If you are needing to plan for your retirement, this is the time to set your intention to begin the research. This is a very sensitive time for you, so be very careful that your emotions are not overwhelming you.

Aquarius - A very important Lunar cycle for you Aquarians, as you are focused on your communication skills, your mind?s processes, and your capacity to hear what others have to say. Also, you can help your daily commute be safe with the intentions you set at this time.

Pisces - This is a great one for you Pisces, as it is all about your bank balance, stocks, and securities. Root out wherever you have fears about ?not enough? and let that all go. You can set the energy at this time to bring inner emotions into a more balanced state within.
