Gratitude is key!!

Having gratitude is what makes me happy. I agree with most of the things said here. Sometimes its hard to be thankful for certain things cause I always take them for granted. When I have gratitude for everything is when I feel the happiness and love I have always been searching and searching for. I think most people struggle with constantly changing their lives, and buying new things, or wishing a father, mother, sibling, etc. were different. They think a change will lead them to happiness. Sometimes I always blame my parents for how they raised me and wish they parented differently but instead should be more thankful for the good things they have done as parents. :) - Joey

I too have been suffering from depression for 3 years. I want to find happiness that is not artifical. Buddism is so interesting; thus, I will be reading more on how I can find happiness through the Dalai Lama. Although I have to agree a bit with Gracie's statement "The more you try to chase down happiness the more unlikely you will be to find it." - andie
