Indeed, much of the work that needs to be done by human beings is inner spiritual work, yet remaining open to the external world that exists outside of our individual consciousness. Whether it is called political or not is ultimately irrelevant. It is humane, it is just and it is righteous for us all to shed our divisions like old snake skins and work together on creating new bonds of togetherness among all peoples of Mother Earth. The U.N. has often failed to live up to its own Charter and one cannot revive a dying corpse. We could try to revive it but money is the bottom line. I am disappointed that as smart as our new president is, he is still taking the old-fashioned and narrow-minded view of using violence to stop violence. I wish it just felt wrong for anyone, but especially the government, to actually take another perons's life, either as a form of punishment, because of hate and intolerance or because we gave up before we found a compromise that everyone can live with.
