More than 75 perceby Carol Lewisnt of Americans over 35 have some form of gum disease. In
its earliest stage, your gums might swell and bleed easily. At its worst, you
might lose your teeth. The bottom line? If you want to keep your teeth, you
must take care of your gums.
The mouth is a busy place, with millions of bacteria constantly on the move.
While some bacteria are harmless, others can attack the teeth and gums. Harmful
bacteria are contained in a colorless sticky film called plaque, the cause of
gum disease. If not removed, plaque builds up on the teeth and ultimately irritates
the gums and causes bleeding. Left unchecked, bone and connective tissue are
destroyed, and teeth often become loose and may have to be removed.

prescriptions for a whole range of pills and potions to rid them of the
strange collection of symptoms we now recognize as Irritable Bowel
Syndrome. Not surprisingly, these drastic measures were not usually very
successful since doctors were seldom treating the real cause of the
problem. Luckily, things are different now.

Over the next 2 months I remained hospitalized. I began talking to God (praying) and listening to God (meditating). This became my full-time occupation. I was given this earthly analogy: it is easier for God to heal quadriplegia than it is for a person to scatter the dust of a puff-ball mushroom with a single gentle breath.

Many people with ADD or ADHD are very intelligent, always thinking of new possibilities and ways to make things better. Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, and Winston Churchill are classic examples. The inability to get along in school is not necessarily the sign of a failure for life.

Not too long ago, the most common advice for ulcer patients was to eat a bland diet. As it turns out, there is no real evidence that spicy foods cause or exacerbate ulcers. There are, however, certain foods, drinks, and behaviors that can increase gastric acids and thus create a problem...
