Symptoms
of Inner Peace

by Saskia Davis.

Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been expose to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.

Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:

* A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

* An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.

* A loss of interest in judging other people.

* A loss of interest in judging self.

* A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.

* A loss of interest in conflict.

* A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom.)

* Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

* Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.

* Frequent attacks of smiling.

* An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.

* An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

WARNING: If you have some or all of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of inner peace may be so far advanced as to not be curable. If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting any of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk.

Many Blessings, Saskia Davis, author

About the Author

Saskia Davis wrote the piece in 1983 when serving as the Director of the Northwest Center for Attitudinal Healing which was founded on the principles of Inner Peace. Since then, the piece has taken on a life of its own, traveling far and wide and somehow the author's name often has been dropped.

Editor's Note: When this was first posted on InnerSelf we were not aware of the source (it was "author unknown"). We have since added the authr info and added some lines that were missing in the original version we had online.

I only recently learned there are others with the same belief as myself,my accidental awareness of my everlasting life energy force came about by way of studying multiple religions and long periods of isolation, then through a form of transendental meditation. Any how i found proof we are eternal energy life forms when I met a woman whom felt she had known me from a past life. Equally strange when she took me to her home town (which I had never been to in this life), I showed her where she use to live. I am starting to belive as eternal energy life based forms we get bored in all our greatness and everlasting , that we take a sort of virtual vacation and that is why we are here . As an eternal energy life form we must get bored in a sense, not being able to touch or feel or taste, since we can not experience these simple pleasures in our natural form we choose to come here for these reasons. If you think about it the short amount of time we are here is nothing more than a blink of an eye so to speak to a being that is forever.
