In what ways can astrology be considered a science? In general, it can be designated a science simply because it comprises a set of principles and laws that have been accumulated through observation; and many of these principles can be tested and observed to be reliable.

It is not necessary to have a belief in astrology in order for it to be of value to you. Astrology has nothing to do with belief. It's practical. It has to do with gaining knowledge and doing experiments.

Eastern Astrology differs from Western astrology which most of us are more familiar with. The differences in astrological approaches are reflected in the Eastern use of a constellational, rather than solar, chart analysis.
