Getting the Right Note

We've all had moments when someone was rude yet we didn't know how to respond without being rude ourselves. Sometimes we will come up with an appropriate response later, when it's too late.

However, Slovakian Violist Lukas Kmit knew exactly what to do when a cell phone rang during his concert. After glancing over at the offending phone (or phone bearer), Lukas launched into a rendition of the Nokia ring tone, embellishing it, and getting his message across at the same time.

The Nokia ringtone is actually a piece of classical music itself, known as Gran Vals or Great Waltz, originally written by Spanish classical guitarist Francisco Tarrega in 1902. Consequently it was probalby not all that difficult for Lukas to play it "on the spot" as he probably knew it, but it took aplomb for him to do so promptly and graciously. He ended the rendition with a grin and a bow.
