The Journey: A Road Map to the Soul by Brandon Bays.

Book Review of The Journey by Brandon Bays

Book Review:  This book is partly autobiographical as well as a self-help manual. The cover states that it is A Practical Guide to Healing Your Life and Setting Yourself Free. Brandon Bays' story on its own is an eye-opener. The old saying 'When life hands you lemons, make lemonade' could be the theme song for her story.

Every human being breathes and walks. This is not only a "must read" book, it provides "must do" breathing techniques that will immediately revitalize your being. Breathwalk is both a science and an art that combines breathing, walking, and attention. You will learn how to elevate your mood, shift mental gears, and command energy levels as needed. There are a series of easy to follow exercises that will teach you how to combine breathing, walking, and the use of primal sounds to enhance your physical, spiritual, and emotional fitness.

Not only will you learn how to breathe correctly, you will learn different types of breathing and the effects breathing has on your internal organs. The authors explain how to synchronize breathing to motion and the effects of using primal sounds. Primal sounds create true moments of inner silence and block out the chatter of our own thoughts helping us to become more centered.

Gurucharan Singh Khalsa and Master Yogi Bhajan have simplified and combined traditions that are centuries old with modern scientific research to show us how to change our lives for the better and awaken our body, mind, and spirit.

There are five steps in Breathwalk and about 16 different programs designed to uplift one's mood and increase one's sense of connectedness. They are easy to learn, simple to follow and will definitely improve one's mental health.

I have been inspired to make Breathwalk a part of my life and, by doing so, a sense of calm and peacefulness has filled my being. I have become more consciously aware of my surroundings as I walk through life.
