Memorial Day by Tamera Thomas Why do we look for loved ones gone before in perfect lawns or imperfect forest? Why buy dead flowers to live forever atop dry bones? Why an annual visit to a symbol carved from stone? A reminder of a heartbeat
once vibrant now gone. We should reunite with them in every falling raindrop blooming flower changing leaf floating snowflake cooling breeze by making a daily visit to our hearts. Tamera Thomas ©1993 |
